Many ways to get real assiatnce and here are three in order of preference:
(i) If you are US citizen or permanent Residence, visit your local SBA office/organization and ask them anything about business. There are these experience people with an answer for you.
(ii)Get a business plan software, such as Business Pro( no relation to me, jsut used it once and it was great). They have related information on biz
(iii)Visit nolo website, free information and templates and guide to books

Try a vibrantly colored postcard or a newspaper article about your business or some other discrete advertisement. Who is going to really read a solicitation letter? I dont mean to be negative but businesses get form letters all of the time and they are the first things tossed in the trashcan. Be creative with your style and you'll be noticed but a traditional letter unless it's hand written is not going to get seen by the right people.
