It all depends on how old you are. But it can take an average of 6 months to a year. But there are some people that are lucky that get pregnant on their first or second try. The way to be successful to getting pregnant is to not get stressed. Because the more stressed you are the less likely it is going to happen. Also it will help if you have sex every other day. Cause it take the sperm about one day to recycle itself. Also after you have had sex take a pill and place it under your butt and stay up in the air for about 20 minutes. But the main thing is too stay calm and you will get pregnant when it is meant for you to get pregnant. Good Luck!

all very good answers. my and my husband tried for over a year. i had VERY irregular periods, once about every 3 months or so. i read a book called "taking charge of your fertility" by toni weschler as a last resort. i got to understand my body and how and what it takes to get pregnant. if you have somewhat regular periods, once a month or so, you will ovulate in between your periods. this is gross, but when you're ovulating your cervical mucus( the white egg yolk like) that comes out from down there is a lot thicker and white. when you notice that, go have sex. you don't need to be doing it 2 times a day or even every day. sperm can live inside you for up to 48 hours.
good luck to you and i wouldn't worry about seeing a doctor yet. just relax and know that when it's your time to be a mommy, it will happen:)

Well first of all you have to have sex at the right time. If you are having sex once a week that could be a problem. Do a little research on ovulation and when it happens. If you feel you have been trying everything right for about a month go get checked for sperm count and that your eggs are dropping. Here is a link to help you read a little bit.

Jimena, it depends on your ovulation. To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.
After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.
After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.
Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

We got pregnant on the 2nd month trying. I'm now 4 weeks pregnant! Usually you should try for 1 year before going to a doctor for fertility help.
Good Luck!

you have to be more broad in your question. Have you tried having sex?? is it to no avail? have to tried ovulation charts, and having sex all the time?? after all your options have failed and you feel like your not going to get pregnate, then go see a doctor, there really isn't a set timeline when to see a MD, but go see one right away he/she could tell you to start taking folic acid, and other stuff that I don't even know about. So good luck, do some research on the net, and congrats!

after getting off the pill it may take about 4months for your body to get back to normal. Then after that it may take another 4-5 months for you to get pregnant. All depends on when you're having sex and when you're ovulating. Good Luck!

it depends on a couple factors, though a simple answer to the first part could be on the first time or it could take years to never.
it's all dependant on a number of situations including but not limited to luck, fertility of the male and female, motility of sperm, number of sperm, etc..
If you are activily trying to get pregnant, and you're not taking after about six months or so, i would suggest going to a fertility specialist and having both you and your partener tested. then you have options that include drugs, monthly and daily female cycles, etc.. another option would be artificial insemination or invetro.
good luck to you.

If you are charting your BBT, your C.M, and your CYCLES then you wait 4-6 CYCLES before going to see a fertility specialist. If you are NOT using those method's you wait 1 YEAR!! Good luck!!
