Talking parrot? how does it work?

I got a talking parrot at the KB Toy store not long ago. He flaps his wings and opens his mouth to repeat but no sound comes out. Is it something with the batteries?

Oh wow my sister had one yeah could be the batteries try another brand he suppose to repeat what you say i think!
