Muscle cramps are related to low electrolytes levels, especially potassium. That's why its important to replace electrolytes with sport drinks and foods high in potassium like bananas, watermelon, and baked potato.

Joe is sort of correct. It depends on how active you are and at what time. Its ok to state eat this and that and drink sports drinks.
Sometimes you over do it with that stuff and don't burn it off, leaving you with love handles.
I am ultra fit and I find that taking more salt in my diet helps as most foods now contain less salt than they did years ago.
When you sweat you lose a lot of salt through the pores. Try my extra salt method. If it doesn't work then try all the expensive well marketed water with added sugar.

get some vitamin B12, that stuff is the bomb when it comes to muscle cramps. it helps with the flow of blood in the muscles reducing muscle cramps. just take one every time you eat a big meal. hope this helps! :D
