"Boxing Day is often celebrated by giving gifts and donations to the poor and needy on December 26th."

However, it has gone completely commercial and all that happens now on Boxing Day is "Boxing Day Sales". Very sad indeed. When I was a child, we used to visit relatives that we don't see on Christmas and it's a social time. Sadly, those days are gone too.

I hosted my first Thanksgiving whilst mine replaced into 6 months previous. you would be wanting some help with getting the domicile waiting. i might start up making plans out a menu and lists now. settle on on what you ought to purchase (paper plates, napkins, etc) and ascertain what you will make. Have travellers carry side dishes. perhaps you will purely ought to do the turkey and gravy that's very basic. in case you do get caught making factors, a number of them would be achieved ahead of time. I study which you would be able to peel and shrink potatoes and circulate away them in a pot coated with water as much as 24 hrs. I do a stuffing in a crock pot. you're able to do pies the night formerly. Have your husband or kin shop the toddler occupied mutually as you cook dinner. i'm doing Thanksgiving this 12 months too for the 2d time. Sucks for me b/c I artwork till 5 the day formerly.

Yes. Thanks. But the two holidays have nothing in common, except for both being celebrated in Canada.
