No it's your ligaments stretching and it's a fairly uncomfortable experience. I'm 7 weeks too and experiencing the same thing, as I have with my previous pregnancies as well. Unless you have severe pain, bleeding, or discharge don't worry, it's normal. Good luck to you!

Its pretty normal. At that stage the baby is about the size of a grain of rice. Not big enough to really cause pain if it were a tubal pregnancy. Usually women dont even know until the 8-10 week of pregnancy that its tubal, and even by then its generally by a routine ultrasound where the baby isnt found in the uterus as expected.
You're going to have pains and cramps, like you're starting your period, for the first couple months. It shouldnt be a stabbing pain, one that doubles you over (although when you get bigger and your round tendons stretch, its a different story), or results in blood or fever.
Definitly get checked when you go to your doctor so you can know for sure that nothing is wrong.
Until then, stay healthy and hydrated.

I used to get these pains all the time with my first pregnancy... they weren't as bad with my second. I had talked to my doctor about them the first time around, described the pains almost exactly as you had here...
I was simply told that these pains are from the ligaments stretching out. It begins early and continues for quite some time.
You have to remember that there will be a whole world of new aches and pains as the pregnancy goes on... your body is going through a great many changes.
Just remember though, if the pain is really intense, if it's bringing tears to your eyes or if it's accompanied by bleeding you need to get in to see your doctor right away... and if that's not possible, then to the emergency ward.
It doesn't hurt to bring these things up with your doctor though... it'll help with your own peace of mind.

in my experience, it's completely normal. unless the pain is unbearable and/or you are bleeding or spotting, don't worry. My doctor had to tell me repeatedly that everything was fine. Your body is just changing and the uterus is stretching. I had that cramping, which feels like you're going to start your period, from week 6 until week 16 almost every day and still have it every now and then, sometimes it was just irritating other times it really hurt, like bad cramps. but it's very normal especially in a first pregnancy because your body has never stretched that way before. I wouldn't worry. really. the doctor told me unless you're doubled over in pain or gushing blood, you're just fine. good luck and congrats!

I have had pains with all of my pregnancys early on.
Mostly common my first, it could be your uterus expanding, and stretching.
I would call, but I can remember being on the floor, or curled in my bed it would hurt so bad.
Give it time, it gets easier.

Sometimes a little pain felt druing the early part of pregnancy is normal but it's best you let your MDknow about it. She's the best person to give you advise.
