I'm asking cause I have cable internet and I pay money every 500 MB downloaded. So, is watching the clip the same as downloading it through keepvid?

Its not exactly the same, no. However, the clip IS downloaded when you view it. It gets placed in your temporary internet files folder. So, viewing movies will add to your bandwidth usage.

In a sense you are kind of downloading. just because you are not saving it to your computer, does mean you are not downloading. Any information you request from your computer such as watching youtube, doing research for school reports, or just surfing the web. you are downloading that information to your computer.

Nope downloading vids on You Tube usually takes quite a while...watching them just takes however long the video lasts!

youtube.com website doesnt allow you to download clips.. but actually download files from the site but not exactly one file to play. so you can say that it download the file but cant allow users to save them in their computer as single file

You can ask your ISP, but my guess would be yes, any content you view counts as downloaded data for which you would be charged.
