if you really want to get a hands on and get the real deal just go to your local nursing home and visit with them/with the old people! not by putting your nose in a book in hopes it will give you all the knowledge

I'm a old person if 66 years old qualifys. I work full time with computers, teach roller hockey to 6 to 13 year olds, play a mean midi keyboard, and am ugly as dirt. I get respect every where I go.

I dont think that "old people" are treated badly, being a ex carer it was the young generation that was picked on for being igronant, (I was told this as helped someone wash themselves) oh and I was called ungreatful aswell again as I help someone with their housework!. The older generation gets far help more than the younger generation.

My cousin was at the head of the queue when the shopkeeper said to her"You don`t mind me serving this young man ahead of you ,do you , he has got to get back to work, whereas you O.A.P.s have got all the time in the world haven`t you ?" My cousins` reply was "All the time in the world, is exactly what I do not have, this young man has at least fifty more years left more than I have. Let him waste it queueing up like the rest of us have to"

What do you mean by old people? Over 60, 70, 80.....?. The answers are different.

i don't know of the fable, but i suppose we need to treat old people with dignity if we want to be afforded dignity ourselves. most of them are vulnerable.
