I'm not sure whether or not he was all the way inside of me and I believe he was wearing a condom but I'm scared to go to hospitals or clinics.

Over the counter pregnancy tests are pretty reliable, although you always need to have a positive home pregnancy test comfirmed by a medical professional. If you are pregnant you will need to get over your fear of clinics and hospitals, as you see a doctor at a clinic pretty regularly and most give birth in a hospital. Good luck.

Over the counter tests are pretty good as long as you perform them correctly (first thing in the morning is best to get the most concentrated urine and they are usually accurate from the day your period is due).

Doctors and hospitals can perform urine tests, they aren't usually much different to the ones you'd do yourself. The one thing you can have done in a hospital or by a doctor is a serum HCG Blood test which basically not only tells that you're pregnant but how high your hormone levels are (shows if you are a risk of miscarriage or not).

If you are just worried you're pregnant and don't want to go to a hospital or doctor then an over the counter test is fine. I got a positive result on the day my period would have been due.

You don;t have to go to a hospital - the over the counter tests which you can buy at chemists and supermarkets are 99.99% accurate - you are probably not pregnant, judging by what you said - but understandable that you are worried - if it does come back positive, make an appointment with a clinic or your doctor to discuss the options - they have to maintain confidentiality.

The tests the doctors use are watered down versions of the ones you buy in the shops, so the shop ones are in fact more reliable and should be the same sort of test that you would get from a family planning clinic x x

i have only ever brought the clear blue over the counter tests and they are accurate. both times my test`s came up has positive and my son and daughter are prove that they are accurate, i would never trust the cheap ones just in case it was wrong. you can always go to the doctors who can tell my doing a urine sample or a simple blood test but at least you will know it is accurate. good luck.

The over the counter ones are just as good as a doctors test plus the added bonus of instant results. Good luck.

Over the counter ones are like 90 something % effective. (Very good) If it comes up positive (pregnant) you definitely are. If it comes up negative (not pregnant) you may want to do another test or go to a clinic.

Home ones are not wrong if they say you are pregnant, but sometimes they don't pick up that you are and give a negative reading.

Choose a well established brand.

Honestly.. i went to a clinic to get a pregnancy test... they use the SAME test.

the biggest reason you would need to go to a clinic is if u need proof of pregnancy for insurance..

I just used one from the 99p shop and it worked fine, and said it was 99.9% accurate. You have to wait until a few days after your period was due to get the best results. If it shows up negative, and your period doesnt start then try another test in a couple of days. Best of luck whatever result you wanted.
