you hit the ball usually into the outfield where the fielder can't get to it too fast, and start to run to first base.
if the fielder doesn't have control of the ball yet you head onto second base, all the while watching the coaches because they can see a lot more than you since your running for dear life.
keep running until you slide into third base before the outfielder throws the ball to the third baseman.
that should do it. there are other ways but hopefully this answer is complete enough for you.

The best way is by hitting it to the right field corner, particularly when the opposing team has a right fielder with a poor throwing arm.

hit the bal where they ain't and run to third base...down the line or in the gap is the best place for that
