Red lipstick goes great with all skin tones but you have to use the right shade. If you're more fair try using a brighter red, if you're skin is a bit darker go with a darker shade so that the brightness doesn't overwhelm your face. Also, as far as white teeth go, don't worry about that since red lipstick makes your teeth look whiter, not more yellow! Another tip, becareful with red because it can get a bit messy, use a liner to make sure you get the lipstick in all the right places and when you're done, put one finger in your mouth, make a kissy face and take it out so that all the excess lipstick doesn't get on your teeth.
Also, be sure to use minimal eye shadow, maybe just liner because lots of eyeshadow and a bold color like red make your face look heavy. GOOD LUCK!

Red lipstick looks good on any skin tone, you just need to find the right shade, if you have thin lips go for a lighter shade and if you have big lips go for a darker shade or a medium shade.
You also need to work in contrast with your make up, enhance your best features and try to blend your makeup so your features aren't competing agains each other because red is a very bold colour and you don't want your face just to look like you have a pair of lips!
Good luck and I hope this helps

Instead of red lipstick, go for a red lipgloss or lipstain (my favorite). Urban Decay and Bourjois make great ones. Lipstick can look cakey and feather. Darker color on the lips look awesome on pale skin. If your skin is dark, I would recommend nude or neutral colors.

It depends on the shade of red. Some skin tones look best with an orangey red, and others with a bluish red. I have very fair skin, and bluish reds seem to work best on me.
I also think sheerer lipsticks look best with really bold colors, at least on me.

I've never been a big fan of red lip color. I believe the only ones that truly get away with it are brunettes...particularly black hair with the right skin tone. Others, browns, reds, and blondes look better with variations of red. For instance...reds look good with copper undertones to a burgundy shade. A blonde looks good with burgundy and soft mauves, and brown hair with brownish reds.

wear only the red lipstick with very nude colors like pale pinks and stuff, if you play up your lips, you cant play up your eyes or cheeks, same with eyes, or you will end up looking like a hooker. remember, pale, neutral, and nude colors.
