My friend and I painted our nails baby soft pink with aqua polka dots. It looks tacky, silly, and cute!

Anything that makes you feel happy when you look at your hands! Depending on your mood, and what kind of colours you like, your manicure can help to express your sense of style and personality. The black nail polish thing is hot right now, but remember not to have nails that are too long or else, they'd look goth.
I like to keep it simple, by sticking with natural colours or pale pinks, my girly side kicks in. You should try to search online or go to nail salons to get some inspiration.
Maybe try drawing or tracing a pattern you really like and practice that on a smaller scale that you think would look nice on your nails. Personally, I think a nice tribal design on nails would look awesome.

Really dark nail polish is in right now so whatever you get painted on your nails i would a really dark color for the base coat. Try Essie in Wicked.

How about "nail polish", unless of course you are to Polish to recognize the difference. How about creamed garbanzo beans? That way, when you lick your fingers, the taste will drive you away, thus keeping the glaze intact.

You should go to like Vons or something, and buy those cute little nail crystals, and put them randomly on your nails!! That is always super cute.
