yes - snakes, but never on a plane.
Garter, King, Gopher, and lately Ball Python.
They can all be enjoyable depending on your level of interest in the animal. I find that the the closer I look into the life of the animal the more interesting and enjoyable the experience, regardless of the animal selected.

I use to have a pet lizard, but he died because he had a severe breathing problem.He was an arid skink. In my opinion, people shouldn't keep reptiles for pets because they are exotic and wild animals that suffer in captivity.

I have a female Russian tortoise which is 6 months old,Yellow-bellied slider which is 7 years old,a lab-mix which is 13 years old,2 cats one 1 and an other 4years old

Yes, a box turtle, a corn snake and a ret tailed boa. They're all great and interesting in their own way.

We have had all kinds. Snakes - ball pythons, boas, reticulated pythons, anacondas, african rock pythons, burmese pythons
Lizards - geckos, blackthroat monitors, savanah monitors,argus monitors, Tegus, Water monitors, Bearded Dragons

I had chameleons (boring) and I had a cali king snake- got him when he was a baby about 6" long. He was really cool (I held him everyday) he grew to be the exact length of his tank- 6'- but sadly died when my house burnt down:(
