This happened to me too. My pericing was not healing and i was about to take it out for good. Then i went to a pericing place and had them change the earring from a stud to a hoop and the ear started to heal right away and the bump went away too about two weeks later. They said the reason that it was not healing was that the stud was not letting my ear breath so that could be the problem.

When I got my ears pierced, the paper they provided also gave intructions for cartilage peircings. It said to leave the piercing earrings in for the first 6-8 weeks, but I recommend leaving them in a bit longer to avoid infection. I wouldn't wear hoops or dangles for the first few months though or else your holes might rip. Well, I hope this helps!
