I can't swim, but if I could and had life saving training, I would try to save him sure, he's a human being. Then when the press came around, I would make sure that the whole world knew just what I thought of his policies.
Why is the president drowning anyway? Is he swimming someplace where there are no life guards because of budget cuts? Now that would be a head line?

Give him an ultimatum. Fire Rumsfeld, Cheney, Rove, and Rice and I'll save you.

By the way, to those who think only liberals are posting the "let him drown" comments, you should consider that a great many conservatives are very disenchanted with him as well.

I have been one of the biggest critics of dubya in the YA forum. I keep thinking that the Secret Service will knock on my door anyday now. However, dubya is a fellow American and a human being. If the Amish can forgive Mr.Roberts, their neighbor who killed five little girls, can we not find some way to recognize that if dubya were not president, we could probably enjoy a beer with him? I dislike the man's politics and detest his advisors, but I don't want him dead. So to answer your question, I would pull him out of the water. Then I would ask him if his God gave him a second chance at life so he could stop the war he started.

I say, my word, (and all that!) I didn't know there were so many people who didn't like that nice young man! I was going to say, in answer to your question, "I'd catch the next bus home" - but he'd probably have had it cancelled first!

If I didn't see horrible questions like this with my own eyes, I probably wouldn't believe that someone could be foolish enough to waste his/her time on such drivel.
Reading the responses to your question demonstrates the twisted state of affairs our nation is confronted with today.
Shame on you for playing into the hands of those encouraging a focus on the negative and pessimism in general. What good does this generate for anyone?

a.) Point and laugh

b.) Pretend like you didn't see him

c.) Push him farther out with a really long stick

d.) Ask him to throw you his wallet before fishing (or not fishing) him out of the lake

e.) Save him and bask in the glory of being deemed by Neocons to be "the most patriotic" person who ever walked the Earth... make sure to get paid for lots of interviews!

All very tough choices!

I suppose since i should be bound by honor so save this drownig human being... i could really benefit from some interview money.

Save him of course. Any for everyone else who wouldn't, that makes you a murderer. Even if you don't like the guy, he doesn't deserve to die.

I would jump in and do everything I could to save his life. I would do the same thing for Clinton and I would do the same thing for the stupid liberals that have given such hateful answers to this question.

They are the same people that want to throw the Iraqi people a lead brick.
