If you are in a position to see a dermatologist, do so. They can prescribe anything from a prescription strength Benz Peroxide to Accutane (be very, very wary of this and only use if your acne is likely to leave scars as the side effects can be terribly serious). If you can't see a dermatologist then get a good acne face wash and don't wear oil based makeup. Also, make sure to use a water based moisturizer. If you don't, your skin will produce excess oil to keep itself moisturized which will cause more acne. My 14 year old daughter got pretty bad acne and after trying everything else that the doc prescribed we finaally did Accutane. For her, it has been a godsend and her face is clear. You must watch out for a signs of a side affect as they can be serious - depression, suicide, horrible birth defects if taken within a month before pregnancy. She's had no side affects and her self esteem is returning. STill, it's really the medication of last resort. Try everything else first! Good luck - and remember that this almost always passes with age.
