Hey, after watching them lose for nineteen years, 119 games three years ago, 99 last year, we deserve a little celebration! Maroth lost 21 and Bonderman lost 19 three years ago. Only ten are left from three years ago. NO ONE expected them to even make the play-offs, let alone beat the Yankees !!

A long time suffering Tiger's fan......

I was happy as a baseball fan to see the players acknowedge the fans in their celebration. That is one thing I like about baseball compared to pro basketball; the celebration starts on the field rather than the sprint to the locker room in the NBA.

I thought it was great that the players brought out the champagne and sprayed the fans, just like they had sprayed each other moments before. The Tigers know that they have been supported by these fans for years without success; it was time to share the fun.

Let's see......22 years since their last World Series title. Doormats of the league the past decade(Hey Kansas City!! There is hope! You too have won a title in the 80's) 22 years since winning this long...kinda forgot what it's been like to be in the winner's circle. Enjoy it while you can Detroit fans.....Oakland and The Mets are next.

The celebration could be considered excessive, true, but as a Detroiter myself I have to say that we are just genuinely excited to have baseball back at the forefront in the city. The Tigers have been down for so long, and now that they're back we don't know what to do with ourselves. It's just overwhelming joy. That's all I can say.

beating the yankee's is the greatest reward of all time. there reign is over. 20 years from now yankee fans will still saying yeah but they won 26 worldseries. don't go away mad yankee fan's, just go away. i think it is time to wear my yankee hater hat and t-shirt. let's face it. if their fan's can't fight any better than their team plays i have nothing to worry about.

It is excessive because Detroit had been a cellar team for 18 years. Last year they lost over 100 games. It has been a miraculous turn around. Let them have their day!!

They've won their first series in a long time, plus it was against the yankees.
