Although not a new trend, it seems there's been an influx of classic rock used in advertising over the past few years. For example. Led Zeppelin's Rock & Roll selling Cadilacs and AC/DC's Back in Black (with the help of Audrey Hepburn) selling Gap pants. The list goes on and on. I don't like it. What do you think about it?

I know. Is nothing sacred?
But, if you want to sell to baby boomers you have to use baby boomer music.
What irks me the most, if I may rant, is when message songs like "won't get fooled again" are used in commercials and they are now out of context with the message. Call me naive and you may say I'm a dreamer ... but I'm not the only one.

I agree when I was younger and we had the classic forrunner of Heavy metal or what we called Acid Rock, never did I think it would end up being played as elevator or grocery store music. If this evolves and they start playing Rap music in grocery stores, I will have to boycott the store as I can not shop for groceries when I am feeling sick or annoyed, which is the effect Rap music has on me.
