i live in worcester...it's my hometown..always has been...and on a good day you can make it to Boston on the Mass Pike in 50 minutes...but trying to go in during morning hours or leaving at 5 FORGET about it!!! it's horrible!....Worcester doesn't really have much to offer...it's a dead City where all the politicians think they have the best idea on how to revitalize it!....it's old and unfortunately a lot more undesireables have moved into Worcester...bringing their drug transactions with them.....there are some good neighborhoods still though....like the rich live on or off of Salisbury St.....the "West Side" of Worcester...over that way is good too....Burncoat neighborhood is good but starting to turn...and a good old friendly working section of Worc is Grafton Hill...

Worcester is a good place to live, but it's not a very big city. It's about an hour away from Boston, and you are far from some things you might expect or be used to, if you are used to living in a big city.

Worcester's about an hour away from Boston.... I visit on occaision, but not the best place to live, in my opinion.

I've read that they have the highest number of sex offenders per capita in the New England area.

I do have friends who live there and grew up there and they like the city-like quality, but it's very run down and I haven't heard anyone who didn't want to move out as soon as they could afford it.

I'm sure there are nice parts, but I would look elsewhere if you're thinking about moving to this area.

I go through Worcester several times a month. It looks OK through the windows of a Greyhound bus but my intuition tells me that I should be glad to be "just passing by". LOL
