Co-education basically manifests the trust of adults in children. It gives them opportunity to understand each other well. See, even with a well knit social atmosphere, most men find it so difficult to understand women !
It is a good place to start treating woman as equal to men !

False also and harmful to Christian education is the so-called method of "co-education." This principle, with due regard to time and place, must, in accordance with Christian prudence, be applied to all schools, particularly in the most delicate and decisive period of formation, that, namely of adolescence; and in gymnastic exercises and deportment, special care must be devoted to the Christian modesty of young women and girls, which is so gravely impaired by any kind of exhibition in public.

Recalling the frightening words of the Divine Master: "Woe to the world because of offenses!" We most earnestly appeal to your solicitude and your watchfulness, Venerable Brethren, against these pernicious errors, which, to the immense harm of youth, are spreading far and wide among Christian peoples. [Pius XI, Encyclical Divini illius magistri, December 31, 1929]

see co-ed helps a lot in adolescence
if a child is going to a girls/boys only skuul then he or she will be tooooo much eager to have any contact with the opposite sex. Its been said that your liking for something increases only when you are away from it and that is very true in this case.
the child studyin in an all girls/boys school will concentrate and think more about the opposite sex than their studies and when they grow up and enter college, they will feel very weird and uncomfortable around the opposite sex and might be impelled to do certain things which they will regret later.
So children should be sent to co-ed schools so that the can grow up in a healthy environment!

to interact with the opposite sex in a normal way is an important asset in your life.
I went to a boarding boys school and found it hard to make eye contact with girls when I finished high school and joined university. It was really hard to act normal.
