We all know the Cubs are in need of change. Who do you think will manage them in 2007, what will happen with Kerry Wood and Mark Prior, and who will they acquire in the offseason? Who will leave? Also, do you think Wrigley Field should get demolished in favor of a new stadium? I do. How about the chances of A-Rod coming to a Chicago team?

Offhand I'm not sure who the Cubs might be able to package together in a trade for A-Rod. They would have to trade for him, he is not a free agent. The Yankees certainly need some young arms (who doesn't?) if the Cubs have any. I guess the most logical candidate to manage them would be Girardi or maybe (with huge grin) Torre? Do you think the Cubs would take 11 straight post season appearances with 4 World Series championships?

The Cubs are great at making lame acquisitions and bad trades.
They'll probably trade Zambrano for Wakefield to the Red Sox, acquire Julio Franco (he's 47), and count on Wood and Pryor to be their 1-2 pitchers. Outcome?
Wakefield loses 18 games while Zambrano goes on to win the AL Cy Young Award, Prior an Wood get hurt in spring training and the Cubs end up losing 95 games.

Wood might be the next closer and Prior should leave he was overpaid for being injured the last 2 years..A-rod should play on team all by himself...NEVER destory Wrigley.....i think the White Sox needs a new stadium...the Sox can gave A Rod..

It seems that the "short list" candidates are slowly dwindling: Girardi, Pinella, and Brenley...Pinella doesn't want the job, or at least, shouldn't want it. Brenley will probably land somewhere else...And, if I were Girardi, I wouldn't want it...Why??? The Cubs is where Managers go to die!!! Name the last ex-Cub manager to get another managerial job! It now seems that Torre and Bochy may also join the list...I don't think they have the talent yet for Torre to just sit and let them play, as it seems he does with the Yankees...I do think, it may be a decent job for Bochy.

I predict that The Cubs will win a world series before the whinny sux win again (another 88 years).

Keep dreaming on A-rod.
He wouldnt want to play with a bunch of UNDERpaid whinny crybabies.

If Torre leaves, I wouldnt be surprised if they sign him. I would get rid of Prior and Wood, and use that money and more to sign A-Rod. With A-Rod, Lee, Ramirez and Barrett, they will be a force to be wreckon with. I would make sure Zambrano stays, and I would get more pitching.

that's in easy terms to no longer hassle-free for me to foretell what's going to ensue in Monday's game, on account that i don't have a crystal ball. yet whilst the Chicago Cubs play reliable adequate to win, they'll do this, or they are in a position to look foward to beginning the season at in all probability 0-a million. i'll be at artwork for fantastically plenty the day on Monday, so I won't see the revealing of the Ernie Banks statue proceed to exist television, and plus who's certainly-known with how numerous the sport, simply by fact it seems to me that climate could desire to play a element interior the sport.
