my son lost the head of his teddy bear in his sleep...i need to know how to sew it back on

I don't think you an without undoing the bear.

I would whip stitch it back together.You can use a curved needle or a straight needle.

Although the link I am pasting in is for knitting you can use the same technique for regular sewing. I just used this link because it gives you a clear idea of what you want to do.

good luck! I have done thins a million times for all my kids stuffed animals.

I agree with the above answer. I just wanted to add that you might want to get upholstery thread. It's a little stronger and might hold up better. I know how it is to sew on teddy bear heads :)
