Guess Who, why would you volunteer for a mission you dont beleive in? to forward the ideals of someone or something that you do not think is right is not a very smart thing to do and may only prove to make things worse as far as bettering your country, the world, or something you beleive in.
My husband signed up for the military and what we have gained is the illusion of financial security and the possibility of encountering death in a far away land. My husband loves this country... but being asked to die for a cause that doesnt ring true just shows that his patriotism goes unnapreciated by the higher echelons of govt.

War profiteering. To have private companies rebuild the country. Can you think of any other reason why the currency was immediately canceled, all the state owned factories closed and the streets totally left without protection? The idea was to tear down the entire economy and "help" Iraqis rebuild a capitalist society. This was very successful, official unemployment is 70%, but it's very easy to find entrepreneurial or free lance work in sectarian militias and death squads.
