I'm about 7 months now and have a small belly for what I thought I would at this point. Does the baby have enough room in there. He's VERY active, but if he's 2pnds and about 15in. like what I read then wouldn't my tummy be bigger, and I would feel the weight of him?? Thanks!!!!

as long as your doctor doesnt think there is a problem, and the baby is growing the way he/she is supposed to there isnt a problem.....enjoy that small belly, you may pop out huge any day!

Bah. Bellies come in all sizes. When I was 26-28 weeks pregnant, two women (on two separate occassions) asked a variation of, "I'll be terribly embarrassed if I'm wrong, but, are you pregnant?"
I ate like a horse, but only gained 20 lbs (I'm 5'9", so, that was NOTHING), and had a small belly. I gave birth to a very healthy 7lb 15 oz, 21 1/4 inch girl at 41 weeks (I have no idea where she was hiding!). Some people just don't show at all, some people distribute the extra weight more around their body, and some people are ALL belly. At my baby shower at 36 weeks, I was smaller than another woman my height who was only 20 weeks along. As long as you're eating enough, the baby is growing ok, etc. don't worry too much. In fact, be happy; it might take a lot less time for you to go back down to near your pregnancy weight/shape.

If you are a tall person, or very thin, your belly can be small even at 7 months. If your doctor is not concerned then I wouldn't be either if I were you. Everyone is different. I'm 6' tall and I only gained 19 lbs. when I was pregnant and even when I was 5 days overdue, I still didn't look very big. I was very thankful for that later because I was able to get my figure back pretty quickly. I also noticed that I grew the most towards the very end, in my 8th and 9th months, so that may be the case for you as well. As long as your doc is not worried, sit back and enjoy your pregnancy! Congratulations!

Small Pregnant Belly

Not really I know two people one my best friend and one my sister who barley showed when they gave birth. Infact when my sister went to the hosital with her baby they thought she was in pre-term labor since she wasen't that big, the doctors estimated that she was gonna have a very small baby like less than 5 lbs and she had over an 8 pound baby. The doctor told her she can really hide a baby, BTW my sister is almost 6 feet and weights only 120 lbs so she is very tiny.

My best friend only gained 14 lbs her whole pregnancy and didn't even look pregnant when she had her baby. Every person is differant. Also if this is your first you will normal not show as soon, the more kids you have the more your body stretches and the more you look pregnant with each child. Good luck with the baby.

Everybody has a different body type, some women appear bigger then others and some are very small. I am 8 mth's now and I am huge however, when I had my 1st son I did not show until I was in the middle of 8mth's.

This is my 4th child by the way and I believe this is the reason that I am so huge, not all women but some... Your baby has plenty of room... Do not worry...

Every single woman carries her pregnancy differently. Some women carry high up and all in front, this would make a belly appear larger or just more noticeable. Some women carry low and all upfront, or you can carry "all in the back", this can give the illusion of a small pregnant belly. Your height, weight, body shape, and frame are all factors in the way you are carrying your pregnant belly.
As long as your doctor is not concerned about the growth of your baby, then dont be worried. Every woman and her pregnancy is different.

If this is your first baby, you don't show as fast or as much as if it were you 2nd, or 3rd. You could also be showing small if you are a muscular person, the baby is in a certain position, or if the position of your uterus is tilted backwards. Also, if you are a small person, the baby may just be small. I totally would not be concerned, as long as you feel the baby. Arournd 7 months on, the baby really starts to grow faster to get ready for birth, so don't be surprised if by next month, you can't believe how "big" you are! Good luck & congrats!

Well Hun, I can honestly say ... I'm jealous lol I;m a mom of 5 and never once did I have a small belly in any of my pregnancy's. But I do know a lot of women who did. It may just be that your body has more room and there for it will make your belly look smaller... but your baby has plenty of room to move around in there... don't worry... you are just one of the lucky ones, that will probably have way less stretch marks, and get you figure back sooner... so just enjoy Hun.. and if you are really concerned ask your Dr. about it and see what he or she says!
good luck Hun!

Consider yourself lucky, I was small with my frist until around 7 months then I went to bed one night just fine and woke up the next morning looking like I swallowed a basketball! It could happen any day and it may not happen at all, as long as you can feel him moving around in there then he has plenty of room. Some women naturally carry more in their back and never look very far along. Good luck to you but dont' worry, he's fine from the sounds of it.

DON'T WORRY. I had a small belly for my baby, and the young doctor freaked out and said the baby wasn't getting any nourishment, etc. He induced my labor (I was overdue anyways), and that baby came out a healthy 8 pound boy. The older doctor in the same practice told me not to worry; I just have strong stomach muscles. If that baby is active, don't sweat it.
