You are another bloody little englander who reads The Sun and believes what it tells you to think.
A racist piece of english shite.
A Nigel.
And there are hordes of you.
No wonder the world looks at you and laughs.

During the World Cup, Peter Crouch climbed onto the back of Brent Sancho of T&T, pulling his hair to open the scoring.
Up until then the english scum fans had been facing away from the pitch to hurl racist abuse at opposing fans.
Like I said, you are scum.

He was a cheat at times, but not the whole time. His second goal againts England WC 1986 was brilliant, but would have been more beautiful without the first goal (Hand of god).

I only remember him as a great player during world cups, not as a club player although he played for many great teams.

The way he acted a a spectator in Germany 2006 was pathetic, not to mention his appearance during the Tennis Davis Cup match that Argentina played. Stick to your own profession. (I don't mean drugs)

Maradonna was not just a cheat. He was also a drug addict a gambler and a downright scummy person.

I was 7 years old when I watched the "infamous hand of God" goal during the 1986 finals in Mexico. It is one of my earliest footballing memories. I hated him for cheating. I watched that game again a couple of years ago, Just to see if it truly was as blatant as I remembered. After shouting myself hoarse at Terry Fenwick to "break the cheating F**ks leg" I saw the wonder goal that Maradonna did score and it was truly magnificent which just makes what he then went and did in the rest of that game and with his career in general that much worse.

He took the talent to be possibly the greatest player ever and threw it away.

Terry Butcher was right to refuse to shake his hand when they met years later after '86!!!

He was a cheat but he was undoubtedly an incredibly talented footballer as well. Today we see cheats in the game every week. Just look at Spurs new signing Zakora or barcalona's Deco. English fans do not like seeing cheats like these or C Ronaldo and we've always encouraged our players to be fair.

I don't agree with you. If Wayne Rooney scored with his hand in the World Cup you would celebrate with the rest of the burberry clad morons up and down merrie England.

Would you have celebrated if Sol Campbell's goal was allowed in 1998? Yes.

Did you care when Owen dived for a penalty in 2002? No.

Basically put, any player or fan would cheat to score a goal if they could get away with it and win the match. In professional sport, winning is always more important to fans and players than playing the game fairly. Deal with it.

Maradona was a genius, who should be better remembered for his slalom run to score the best goal of all time in a world cup. And I'm english.

Recognise talent when you see one. A one-off incident when he scored with his hand does not distract from the fact that he was extremely gifted and is arguably the best ever. Did you ever take time to watch the second goal he scored after the "infamous" hand of God goal? Brilliant!!

Don't care about the drugs, I only care about the hand of god, yes he is a cheat. It didn't just hit his hand, he led with his hand, i've got no respect for him or his legacy. And just as bad was Italia 90 when he slagged off the public of Naples, when he played for Napoli. Apart from a few years at Napoli, boca and 86 world cup he was crap. Crap at Barcelona and crap at Sevilla, crap in 94.

Although gifted, his whole attitude as a player stank!..Definitely not a good ambassador for Argentina.
He's not fit to lace Pele's boots!

I do. All his goals were quite similar and he doesn't make an impression of a real football star. I can't stand it when people start comparing him and Pele! It's foolish, Pele is Pele! I think the idol of Maradona was created by Spanish-speaking people (esp. from Argentina) in order to create their own star.
