I don't know for sure if I am pregnant yet, but I haven't had a period for a while. I don't have any early pregnancy syptoms except missed periods. Now, I have a sharp pain in my lower right abdomen, and aches in my shoulders and neck sometimes. It is inconsistant though. Can anyone tell me what is wrong, and how I would treat it?

Robin baby, please go get yourself checked out. I'm not sure if your aches and pains up high could be associated with an ectopic pregnancy or not, and since you're obviously not sure either, it'd be best just to rule it out all together. For your health's sake. I know that probably every answer you recieve is going to suggest you going to your doctor or your local ER as there is no way we're qualified to confirm your pregnancy, ecoptic or otherwise. If you've not had your cycle in quite some time, your first step should be to go get yourself a HPT. If it in fact comes back positive, get yourself over to the ER, tell them you've had a positive HPT and you're having strange pains and aches that's not commonly associated with early pregnancy. Please.

You can take an at home test if you want to, but you should get checked out even if it comes out negative. Those are signs of an ectopic pregnancy and sometimes with an ectopic pregnancy you body won't have enough of the hormone a test looks for to detect it. If you take one and it comes out positive, I think you should go straight to the E.R. Waiting for an appointment might be the difference in saving your tube if not your life.

First, I would go take a pregnancy test to find out if you are really pregnant at all. If it is negative, then u know you are looking at something other than a tubal pregnancy. If positive, it may be possible. Either way, it is not normal to miss periods if you are NOT pregnant, and if you are pregnant you should be seeing an ob/gyn ASAP. I hope it is nothing serious. Good luck and hope u are feeling better.

That's what it kinda sounds like. See a doctor a.s.a.p. I had one in February this year and had none of those common symptoms you described just some spotting. They had to do an itravaginal ultrasound, and discovered an embryo in my left fallopian tube with a beating heart......then I had to have surgery and have my tube removed. I was about 7 wks along. Get it done as EARLY as possible, because they have a shot they can give you if caught early enough and it will save you LOTS of pain!!!! Call an obgyn and tell them what you think it is, and that'll get you in quick. Good Luck and I hope all is well!

I have no idea. My only advice is to go to the doctor immediately. Especially if you are suspecting an ectopic pregnancy. My mother had an ectopic pregnancy and was rushed by ambulance to the emergency room where she was operated on immediately. She was moments away from dying. Your fellopian (sp?) tube will rupture and the ramifications are fatal. Go to the doctor.

Hello Hun....It is very important that you get to a doctor ASAP. Preferably a Gynaecologist. Ectopic pregnancy is a very serious condition and could prove fatal if not treated in time. This is by no means an attempt to scare you but this could definately put your health in jepordy. get to a doc hun xx

Ectopic pregnancies are very rare, so hopefully that is not the case. I would take a pregnancy test and if you are, I would go see a doctor! Good Luck ; )

Please check in with your GYN so you know for sure. They can do blood work to see if you are pregnant and sonograms to make sure you have an interuterine pregnancy. I wish you good luck.
