No never , only when the leader of those masses is blind or with no vision , what happened in ww-ll, germany,japan , was leaders were on there way to achieving their goal lost out in middle ,coud`t realy imagined the results they got from that patriotism ,one should grow along with patriotism ,it was like a drunkerd getting a fine bottle of wiskey after his last sip,

Not if it's true patriotism to the country, but if it's aimed at a particular political person it could really cause a catastrophe. Just look at the trouble that the Iraqi war has caused.

Terror bombing, illegal invasion of other countries using trumped up excuses, dehumanization of the enemy as inferior, widespread use of torture; these are exactly the same tactics the Nazis used. But these tactics will NEVER produce either the peace or victory the Axis of Powers claim they want. Remember WWII. The Nazis lost!
