I woke up this morning and my skin was perfectly clear. Then after I washed it it was all swelled up again and very easy to see the pimples.

Why does my face look worse after I wash it then before?

Whenever you wash your skin with an acne or some other type of cleanser , the pimples get activated. The cleanser goes in into the pores and works . Its just a sign that its working. As you may notice, about half an hour to an hour after, your skin will be much clearer then it was before . =]

If you use warm or hot water...you are opening up your pores and your face will look less "tight." Chocolate is a "treat!" Not a food group! Knock it off and show a little self control! You keep eating M&M's and you will be asking more questions in the diet section Yahoo Answers. Anyhoo...lecture aside. Sounds like you would benefit from exfoliating two to three times a week. Use a good ph balanced toner and moisturizer to follow. Also...unless you are trying to open your pores...wash your face with cold water always.

Maybe you are having a reaction to something in your face wash. try Cetaphil or something VERY gentle. OHH and NO scrubbing and cool water!

Also hands off and NO picking.

M&M's or chocolate do not give pimples. Trust me I have been to many Dermatologists for pimples too and the chocolate thing is a myth.

stress, poor overall diet and hormomes are more likely causes.

Try and different gentler face wash. You might also want go to to a dermatologist and have your skin checked out. HE/she will be able to give advice on what to wash your face with..what products to stear away from etc.

Candy has nothing to do with pimples. Greese does and other oils from your hands do. Try a pimple cream like clean and clear. I use it and it clears up pimples within a day!
