The elephants in Philadelphia Zoo are being moved in the Spring of 2007, do you think that is a good thing, or a bad thing? This is a serious question, one of my favorite animals are elephants and I respect the Tennessee Elephant Santuary where they house elephants that are old and retired from the circuses. Thanx.

Good!!!! I think zoos are one of the most cruel things for animals. Imagine an animal that is used to roaming and being free, and then it is caged up and held prisoner for a bunch of people to walk by and LOOK at!!

How totally thoughtless! If it sounds stupid, then just picture your own life as one of these animals with no way out. Cruel.

You never said where they were moving the Philadelphia elephants TOO. To Tennessee?? I'm all for anyplace that allows any animals to grow old in peace and in comfort.

I myself, think Zoo's are cruel to animals, when you see them pacing its a sign they are not happy, but its a double edge sword either way, at a cirus they are more abused, there has to be a better way,

Those are great news. Now those animals will have a more peaceful life.
