i have a bachelor degree in business, i've been looking to go back to school, it would take roughly 36 hours to get my masters, how many hours yall think i would need to get a undergraduate degree in accountING. since i've already HAD a portion of the classes like managerial acct , ACCT1,2, TAXATION, DO YOU THINK I WOULD NEED MORE THAN 36 HOURS TO GET AN ACCOUTNING DEGREE, THE GOAL IS TO BE CPA, IF THERE IS A CPA OUT THERE TELL ME HOW IT IS.

Enquire from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) at educat@aicpa.org to request assistance to match your present qualifications to the AICPA’s equivalent. (1.)

With relevant experience and documentary proof of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) or equivalent hours to qualify for the exam, furnish copies thereof to AICPA for assessment with a transcript of relevant education transcripts.

As CPA is a professional and not an academic program, competency and speed are the basic requirements, bearing in mind the changes and adoption of Financial Reporting Standards (3.).

There is a self assessment available on the website (2.) with a similar comparative from Canada’s conversion web equivalent (4.) to US GAAP.

Large or decent financial companies should be able to assist you in your endeavours and provide financial assistance. Enquire from HR.

Opinion: From what is indicated, the education background is on the right track. However, relevant work experience in large financial institutions or the Big4 would contribute towards those required hours.
