It could be the guy or it could be that you're spending too much time with him and not enough with God. Maybe you should try worshipping together. See if that makes a difference.

I don't understand what you mean that he meets the Christian style in some ways and not others. Almost anyone can do that. Find out first if he is a Christian. Then examine your relationship with the Lord. If this guy you like isn't a Christian and you are then there will be a lot of conflict. Although we all go thru these feelings, when we have them it a then a time for re-examination of our lives.

God is with you, no matter what....turn to him..ask HIm. Getting involved with someone, spending time and thoughts on your friend may be new for you, but God wants you to have relationships, share the good news, and help one another. What did you do in the past that helped you feel God's presence? Why not continue that? Are you continuing to go to church or pray? If this guy is not good for you, you'll have the help of the Holy Spirt to guide you..but you do need to pray for it. As far as christian style, you can be an example for this guy. Don't be afraid to let him know how you do feel about Christ. But do remember, Christ is always with you, will never abandon you, he absolutely loves you...just turn toward him and know he is there.

Why do you have to associate only with Christians? If he is not a believer is he not still your brother? Christ said to love your God, and to love your brother, and that all the laws of the prophets hang on these two commandments. As for feeling apart from Christ, don't. You are never apart from Christ, he is your salvation, put him first. Also, do as he said, and show love to this guy. Just make sure that you do your best to follow his word, and pray for forgiveness when you break it. Everything will be fine, Christ loves you, and understands.

It doesnt necessarily have to be about the guy.Maybe ur realtionship with God needs some strengthening or maybe u feel guilty because as u said this guy doesnt have all the qualifications as a christian [in my words]. Maybe u need to pray and ask God what he wants u to do, ask him to show u the right way that u r to take. Many cgristians often feel this way maybe the guy came into ur life as a sign that u need to think about God more and ur relationship with him

Sometimes it does happen to a person when Christ allows someone to influence you. This may be the time you will need to assess your relationship with Christ and with the person you are really getting to like a lot. Perhaps this is a situation wherein you will need the guidance of Christ to bring someone to his fold. Think about it.

Psalm 77 7-20 is very helpful
In short he felt fair away from God so he stirred his memories of before to be encouraged and renewed in knowing He is never far no matter how we feel.

You're having a conflict between your natural feelings and instincts and your false, sex-averse religion. Happens to all "christians." Now you're supposed to think you're "sinning" for having these feelings and feel guilty and lost. You're right on track.
