well here in my country...it nearly $1.30 A Litre?
So for me to stop driving...I would say $4.00 a Litre...means only in emergency or one time a week shopping for food!
No other time.....which would mean I would really not go out much?
My old Ford chews petrol like there is no tomorrow.....really!

I live over ten miles from work. I doubt I could quit driving completely. If gas goes to 10 dollars a gallon I would probably think about walking more and using car pools. We don't have public transportation where I live.

You know the way our society works and the need to commute it would be very difficult to give up driving. There are many other things that one would give up before taking up a life of walking.
