Pick the one that you like best and that actually helps you. I also think that those who make an effort to use good grammar and spelling should be considered. I have been reading and answering questions only a short time, but I've seen some really atrocious spelling and grammar. I sometimes wonder if they teach proper English in schools any more. Some of it may be due to haste to be the first to answer, but that old saying"haste makes waste" is very true. I bypass many because I can't understand what they are asking or answering! My husband picked a best answer once by picking the underdog so to speak. Somebody who gave him good advice, but had less good answer points. Just do your best. If you don't choice the voters will choose eventually and a smartass as you called them may be chosen.

You just pick your own best answer, even though it may be obviously wrong, such as mistaking upside down with inside out, and thinking THAT is a smart answer. In other words, just keep doing what YOU want, no matter how ignorant your reasons are; and you should worry less about the smartas**' here, than about the one who's sitting in front of your computer right now.

Try to pick people that seem to have put in more effort in their answers, even if it's a slight difference.

Sometimes, even something as little as an answer having proper grammer, etc. is enough to make me choose that as the best answer.

in case you prefer to %. the superb answer, then you definately ought to do it in the previous the question defaults to vote casting for a good answer. in case you wait till it is open for vote casting, then your vote purely counts as one vote in simple terms like all of us else's. feels like the superb answer purely have been given 2 votes, so it is probably that answerer plus another who agreed together with her. TC's do not artwork for YA. i used to be one and there have been no perks linked with that "interest".

Either pick the one you like best, or let voters pick for you. If no best answer wins, you get 3 points! :) I've seen many, many questions with no best answer! :)

I hear you about the smart*sses! Whew.
