I have no idea what it is. It just recently started producing fruit again.

those are persimmons, a common fall fruit.. look @ these photos....they will confirm it for you...they are edible but wait about two more weeks, they will be @ their sweetest then...

Persimmons for sure. If y ou have had a frost, they will be good. You can make jams or jellies out of them as well as otehr things. Other than that, if they fall, you will have a multitude of bees unless you clean them up quickly. They are sweet to eat after a frost, but very bitter when green.

Looks like a Cornus, (dogwood) hard to tell from pics.
Most deciduous trees produce some kind of a berry or fruit, whether it is edible or not you have to look into.
Id say not a fruit, but a ornimental sort of tree.

I believe you have a persimmon tree,looks like mine,the fruits are delicious

Those are the japanese-type of persimmon. You eat them or you can make cookies and breads with them after they are soft. I love them!

It could be a crabapple tree. Take the sprig to your local nursery and they'll identify it for certain.
