Im a South African and thinking of going next year. What is it like? Is the money good? Is it safe? where do u live? Did u have a pre arranged job and accomodation. Do u live comfortably and can u at least save money to bring back home? Does witers get paid ok or make ok money? I wanna know everything! Please!

I am an Aussie on a working holiday in London.
What is it like?
It is really good. There are heaps of us Aussies, Kiwis and South Africans around.
Is the money good?
The money ranges from OK to very good depending on the job you land. The good thing is that on echange the Pound is so strong that when you bring money back to SA you will have lots. If you manage to save any, that is.
Is it safe?
The UK is a relatively safe place but of course there are safer places than others. There is quite a lot of crime in London but if you pick where you live carefully you should be OK.
where do u live?
I live in Outer North London which is very nice but quite far from central london, which is a down side. There are areas in South London, West London and Northwest London which are very popular with people from the Southern Hemisphere.
Did u have a pre arranged job and accomodation.
No. I found my accommodation and job after I got here, which was pretty easy. There are plenty of recruitment agencies and other services who are all used to employing people from SA, Aus and NZ to help you get on your feet.
Do u live comfortably and can u at least save money to bring back home?
You can make enough money to live comfortably but most people I talk to and including myself find it hard to save. Not because you don't make enough but because life is good in the UK so it is easy to spend lots of money on entertainment and travel around Europe. But I'm still hoping to save some money before I go home!
Does witers get paid ok or make ok money?
Not sure about that one, but try emailing the editors of one of the magazines aimed at SA/Kiwi/Aussie expats. Check out InLondon Magazine and TNT magazine.

You will be in danger if you go to UK. The British people have the habit of beating up Africans, tying their feet together and towing them behind their vehicles. Their police force arrest Africans and beat them up in prison, sometimes torturing them. Whatever you do, dont go to UK, especially London
