All you characters are way off beam. The ugliest car of the past fifty years would have to have been the Austin 1800 "Landcrab". My Dad had one. Transverse 1800cc four cylinder engine, hydraulic suspension and a wheel on every corner. It is still the most comfortable car I have ever driven and was good on long highway trips.
But it was a bear to reverse park because of all the weight over the front wheels and I once worked up a sweat slotting it in Brisbane around Christmas one year. The Wikipedia entry illustrates one of the later versions which was even uglier than the original. An uncompromising Issigonis effort. All engineering, no styling.
Actually the Smart effort by M-B over the past few years is a pretty close runner up. Thinking about it, the Austin was tolerable from one or two angles, the Smart is ugly which ever way you look. So maybe the Smart is the ugliest.

I'm noticing that the big trend in the auto industry lately has been to go bankrupt by making cars that look as shitty as possible. I don't get it, things were going fine and then all of a sudden everyone starts coming out with these giant stupid plastic looking turds on wheels. I thought that nobody would buy them, but a mere glance down the streets killed my theory
Honda Element - Honda does not generally venture too far from their conservative styling which makes this car dog ****. The body work looks like something that was made in Russia ten years ago.Style is the element lacking most in this cubist atrocity. Everything about this car screams "tacky." This car just looks terrible; it looks like it was designed by a blind child with arthritis. In a coma. Whoever chose the color scheme for this car was probably asked to do so at gun point, because I don't think it's possible to choose two uglier colors
Chrysler PT Cruiser - Do you know how some cars just grow on you? Well this one does not.
Pontiac Aztek - With this car, Pontiac has set out to finish what Cortez started by pilfering the Aztecs of their last remaining treasure: their name. Except Pontiac spelled it with a "k" because spelling words inkorrectly is totally kool TO THE MAX.
I can just imagine the designers brainstorming, when suddenly the bosses son came up with this cock barf: "hey, let's make the back end of the car look like a deformed rhombus, and while we're at it, let's smash two cars on top of each other for the front half and call it a day!" The double grill disaster they have going on in the front sets a new benchmark for stupid grills

That has to be that ugly box on wheels the Honda Element. What were they thinking! Close second would be the Pontiac Aztec. The Toyota Scion - yuck! And all those little wanna-be rice burners with the fart-can mufflers and huge spoilers and ground effects ... all butt ugly and stupid looking. Add to the list anything with the Saab name on it. I might get a lot of boos here, but I think the Hummer H2 is an abomination of ugliness. There. I said it.

In Canada it would have to be Honda Element, Chevy HHR, Chrysler 300, Feel Good Cars-ZENN (good idea for electric cars,ugly look) and all Steriod pumped up SUV's
