PT lumber can be stained and painted. PT is wet with the infused chemical treatment when purchased, and should not be painted until it dries. That will require weeks or months, depending on the relative humidity in your area. Call a local paint store or search the internet for the pressure treated wood marketing etc association.

There are stain coatings (Thompson and Behr, for example, are available at HD) which are specifically intended for use on decks and other exterior PT structures.

For matching purposes it would be best if you could remove a piece of the pine you wish to match, and take it to a paint store frequented by professional painters. The personnel the such a store possess knowledge far superior to that of the clerks in big box stores.

Yes you can but let it weather for a few months first. The inside has liquid and the paint will not last--it will peal beacuse of the liquid forced into the wood. So let it weather and then prime and paint with whatever you did the rest with.

I use a solid stain on mine. You could have it mixed to match. Paint or stain--your choice.

because of the existing oils inside pressure treated wood..you have to bin it first..a regular primer wont work..than you may want to add some oil based primer before painting .

Use a solid stain!!! Never use paint, just two coats of solid stain will do the trick and if its a deck you wont be slipping and sliding all over the place. Oh, and you wont get sued when someone falls on thier butt. Definatly use a solid stain!
