um... it depends on how many gigabytes u have...... like i have a 1 gb. and it hold like 240 songs but the more the gb. the more songs it can hold! but i heard that they have come out with new ipod nanos and like remodeled them and everything like they come in colors now and they hold like 800 songs! jeez, i wish i had waited to get my ipod nano until now! lol.. hope i helped!

2gb- 500
4gb- 1000
then It also comes in colors (green, blue grey pink and black) and i heard it comes with 800 songs also?

nodumgys is right, i've resisted getting one because some of my dead "songs" are almost 2 hours in length, plus they don't use the same files i do, mp3 sucks!
