Are you having normal cycles? I was on the pill for 7 years to correct problems I had in high school. Then when I went off the pill, I went several months without having a period. In fact, in one year I only had 4 cycles. I discovered I had Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which was causing me to have anovulatory cycles. I was put on Metformin and that straightened me out completely and I was able to conceive my beautiful daughter after 2 years of trying. Consult your doctor and go to a fertility specialist if you have one in your area that you can get into.

I also recommend charting your basal body temperature to help you find out when you ovulate (if you are having normal cycles). You can chart your temps at Fertility Friend. It's a great resource. Also, the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility is an AWESOME book that I learned SO much from. Good luck to you!

Hello,

A certain percentage of the population have fertility challenges. In some couples it's the man, in some, it's the woman, in some cases, it's both. The thing is, individuals don't know they have problems conceiving until they start trying, or they would not have been on the pill (or whatever birth control) unnecessarily for all those years. For some couples, it just takes longer, but it's not impossible.

It's not likely your birth control caused the problem you are now having to conceive. You just didn't know it was there before. Also, keep in mind that fertility does decline as women age.

Advice: consult your ob/gyn and/or fertility specialist with your partner. Also, look into adoption. Don't give up. There are lots of ways to become a parent.

Good luck

It takes time to get pregnant after coming off of delivery manipulate and simply you need to be sufferer and to not fear approximately it. Take it slow and check out to calm down. I could say pass to the health care provider for the ache and and many others. If you obtained bit by means of spider not anything to debris with on that.

I was on the pill for 16 years, and I got pregnant right away (even though we weren't trying yet and using condoms), so I wouldn't think it's connected. I would talk to your ob-gyn.
Edit: For the idiot who thought we didn't want to get "pregnate": I was on the pill from high school for medical reasons, and we did want to get PREGNANT. I just heard it was good to get the pill "out of your system," so I tried to go off 6 months before we were intending on trying, hence why "we weren't trying YET." Maybe you should stick to answering the questions asked as opposed to making presumptuous comments on other people's posts.

Talk to your ob-gyn and have her refer you to a fertility specialist, sometimes it just naturally takes time, but get a thorough work up and make sure neither of you have any issues. Good luck to you and lots of **babydust**
