My 'loading' bar at the bottom the screen has disappeared. How do I get it back?

The loading bar I mean is on the blue strip at the bottom of the screen. When a new page is loading it shows how quickly or slowly it is taking, i.e. lllllllllllllll - once full and the page is loaded it disappears.

unplug the computer, pack it away in the original box, then send it back to the suppliers, because you shouldn't have been allowed to touch it in the first place
