Since Virginia is where you will be seeking new employment, that's the state where you'll want to file the claim. Since there are special circumstances forcing you to quit your job in Michigan, you may have a good case for unemployment eligibility. Only way to find out is to try. Good luck.

From what I know generally I do not think you can collect unemployment unless you are let go. If you just up and quit then I am sure you can get some type of short term unemployment but nothing very long term. I dont know that you can collect unemployment through your current residence of michigan or Virginia I am not sure how that works. But for virginia here is the site for Virginia Employment Commision and they should help ya out http://www.vec.virginia.gov/vecportal/ on this site you can also look for work hope this helps!

You will want to check with the unemployment office in Virginia to find out if you can file for unemployment. I know in Michigan if you quit your job it has to be for a good reason to collect unemployment and relocating to another state is a good reason. You may also want to check with the Michigan Unemployment office to make sure that relocating for your husbands work is a legitamate reason to file for unemployment.

I don't think you get unemployment if you quit your job and move to another state. You would have had to quityour job for a probably cause as in the company is not treating you right. Something like that.

I don't think so. You will need to contact the unemployment office where you are currently living to find out. Try to find a job where you are moving before you go. Unemployment will pay alot less than you are currently making.

No, you quit by your own choice and you must be actively seeking employment.

What I found alarming while researching for this question is how much Michigan tax money is being wasted on translation to Arabic and Spanish. If you can't speak English your chances of being unemployed are quadrupled!

You would be able to from Cal but there is an extra waiting period. All states differ, contact Michigan's for the accurate answer.

No, Colorado State has no money left for unemployment.

You can only do that if you have a good reason to quit. I think it's unlikely you'll get it just to up and quit just to move with your husband.
