When i do a search , for anything, for ex. apple, and then all the different sites for apple come up on I click on one of the links, ex. apple.com, it goes to a totally differnet link. Looks like mostly different search engines that Ive never heard of, ex. marketplace.com.... I have ran a full virus scan ( AVG ) and spybot. Didn't work... Now what?

It works for me. A search for 'apple' in Google brings up all the apple.com sites. When I clicked on them, I got the apple.com site - Apple Computers.

I think you have some program installed which has hijacked your search engines. It may not be Spyware.

You may have innocently installed something else which you downloaded and wanted to use. But it was actually a program that sends you to these other search engines, which are commercial sites making money off people clicking on their listings.

You can go to Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs and see which might be the suspect program and uninstall that.

Use a good search engine such as Yahoo.com, Google.com.

Some of the links are paid sponsor links and are false, just be sure what you are clicking, and look at the destination URL below the link before clicking :)

**NOTE**

It has nothing to do with spyware, the results on a web page have nothing to do with spyware. they are sponsored links.

Take care.

Have you updated the definitions for Spybot? I would also suggest that you download Cleansweep and AdAware and run both. Sometimes one program doesn't pick everything up.
