Double check your work before turning it in. Then have someone else double check it who knows the material.'

After you have corrected it to the best of your ability, ask another, not neccessarily a friend, but someone competent and neutral, if they will critique it, and do not argue with them, consider their opinion, and adopt what you can, or feel improves your work.
