Homeless children do not have to show proof of address & such when enrolling in a school. The rules for them are a bit different. Basically, it's better for them to be in school than to NOT be in school. Have you been to your local public housing services facility? Or the nearest homeless shelter? That's definitely a place to start.

Best wishes to you & your family.

then how the heck do you have a computer?

First off, if you have any belongings of value, you can sell them for money.
Get a job. Welfare can help assist those who are trying to help themselves. You just need to show that you are willing to put forth an effort.
Try a shelter and they can help you find housing.
If you are so poor, go back to college and get a degree... grants will pay for it so you don' t have to worry about paying out the nose for it, you'll get a degree and can get a better job so you can support your family better. (been there, done that... so i know from experience)

Keep the kids in school no matter what.

Call up friends and family for support.

Ask for help from your church. They SHOULD be willing to help you, if not, then I think the church isn't as Godly as it should be because churches are suppose to help those in need.

You need to contact Children and Family Services, they will come where you are, your children need to have good care and go to school. You can not subject your children to this kind of existence. Once your children are cared for, you and your husband can restart your life by looking for work, Once you have a job and a home again, your children can return to you. There are many Christian and Community Organization's, that will help you with housing too. If you feel you don't have decent clothes for a job interview, Goodwill or the Salvation Army has help for that.
Your first priority should be your children, love wants the best for the ones we love, love is not selfish. Good Luck.

Are you at the library on the computer? I don't know what got you into this situation but I do feel bad for you. If it's drug related though than I think you needed this to happen so you could wake up and get back on the right track. Which ever reason holds, I wish you and your family the best. There are homeless shelters that you can attend and they usually have information at these centers to help you get help for yourself.

I'm a little confused.
How did you get access to a computer?

If you really are homeless, you and your husband should try to get jobs. You can get into an apartment building where rent is based on your income and you only pat 30% to rent.

Ask family and friends for help, and go find a shelter...

But again, I'm confused if you are homeless where you found a computer, and why you are wasting your time on Yahoo Answers.

I would call a local church and start from there. They might not be able to help you but should be able to direct you in the right place. Don't give up and keep trying...you will find help and you will have a better future.

Try local churches or the Salvation Army. It takes time to go through 'the system' with welfare, you must be persistant.
