T.V has a lot to do with it, certain programmes and films promote an image of a job from the sexy, life saving, heroics side, and not the reality of that job...Think Backdraft or Officer and a Gentlemen and Top gun. Try Nursing and how many men have the image of stockings and suspenders and bedbaths.. The reality is however often very different.
If you don't like it though you could always try telling them you're a Traffic Warden....

I think its the whole hero thing. Think some women like the idea of being protected by their big hero and its a feeling of safety too.
If you don't mention what you do for a while until you see if shes interested that may be the way to go. Say you work in public services. That may work.
When I met my husband I found out he was a fireman and I always said I would marry one ! I didn't beleive he was one but as it turns out he was and wore the uniform for me to prove it.

The title within itself is just hot. I live right across the street from a fire station station and think all the guys there are hot. A girl wants a bad and strong guy.
Men who rescue people makes the woman feel assured that she will never have anything to fear.
But seriously you guys are hot.

that's just sad girls, like the ones who like men with money and cars.
it makes no difference to me what a man does or has as long as he's honest and genuine and nice and not one which has a massive ego! or violent like the majority!!
most men are just trouble and can only get the naive girls who don't no it yet.
please don't think being a firemen makes you a sex god, your head would get SO big, no real women would want you.

cos firemen save peoples life and run into fire. firemen are meant be be young,fit and got goregous bodies. firemen have this image so when there pals ask what does your man do,they can say he is a fireman and stunning!
