I've been trying for ages to get something to paint the windows with at the childcare centre where i work.

I want strong colours preferably not transparent and they have to be washable.

I've seen painted windows in Nurserys and hospitals.

Can anyone help me?

There are quite a lot of markers for windows - Zig do some, Liquid Chalk, Powell Marketing's Glass Pens, Shneider 265 Deco Marker. I like Pentel Wet Erase Markers best they come in two sizes. They are all rather expensive £2 to £3 each. Some come off with soapy water others with window cleaner - Mr Muscle recommended for Glass pens.

For paint try finding a local company that sell shopfittings. Otherwise poster paint such as Berol's Ready Mix is opaque and comes in 500ml bottles. You have to order 10 bottles of a colour but you can also buy a single pack of mixed colours.

All these should be available from good stationers though you may have to special order it and wait until they can place an order as shops have to place minimum orders to suppliers

Dick Blick carries 1 pt. jars at $12,99 EA. They are available in a wide variety of colors and fluorescent colors. The paint adheres to almost any glass surface and is easily removable with warm soapy water and ammonia. www.dickblick.com.
