do you think the name creates the person, or does the name grow to fit the person who has it?
What about screen nicknames?
Do they reveal alot?
I like my name brick, but it does not say much about me, why did you choose your name?

My name was given as was your birth name, and as a youth, I didn't like my name ( due to it's being different ) and swore I'd change it when I was legally able. Time has passed and now I guess I've grown into it, as it now seems cool to have a name that's different than most. I guess you do grow into it, though I'm not sure my name identifies me as an individual. Wish I had a cool nickname like Brick!

Good question.

For me, I've been working in the Hotel industry for 5 years and counting, and as we all know when your in the service industry you really need to keep your cool specially with some crazy guests :-)

Our real name doesnt create the person because we didnt choose our names our parents (or whoever)did.

Our screen names and AVATAR says alot for most!

It's a label, no more informative than most. I do think names can influence some people's self-image. I resented having a name the same as my father's for years, though he was a fine fellow. Then I grew up and didn't care, except for the confusion.

Your parents name the child. Then you learn to live in the name. The names used on the screen are chosen by yourself...they have a significance, even if it is emotional.

oh yes, i am sure that every one starts, at some point of their life to look like their names. Or nicknames. It is rarely that they don't I love my name, and it is very similar to my real one. But it also means two different names, Hana, and hator, witch was the name of Egyptians goddess of motherhood and it represented a cow. As a holy animal.

Well my dad wanted to call me Brit but mum got me registered and called me Carla I chose all my own children’s names before they were born so there personally had to fit around there names I think all baby’s look like Winston Churchill when there born so there would be a lot of Winston’s going around if we all named our children after they were born.
