I don't know if your daughter will enjoy this costume, but my 10 year daughter came up with it and it sounds like it's going to fun. She is going to dress up like a boy and girl. I've taken one of her dads baseball caps, and cut it down the middle, and sewed on a girls blond wig on the other side, also took her jeans and cut one leg off, she will wear tights/pantyhose, and then I'm going to sew a skirt just half way around. Make up on half of her girly face and a drawn on beard and mustache for the other. It sounds like alot but it's not really that hard. On Halloween, she will be able to turn one way or another and look like two different people. I think it is going to be fun. Just an idea, Good luck and take care!

i'm 12 so I can relate. if you want to be something like girly. than what you could do is find a really cheap dress that looks great, wear lots of makeup if your mom'll let you. and basically look as nice as you can and viala you are a girl at her prom. another thing you could do is be a black cat, perfect for halloween. what you do is find some warm black pants and sew on a tail, then you wear a warm black top or sewatshirt find some black ears put on black shoes. and draw on your face the whiskers and a nose. it's sounds childish but i did it last year and it was amazingly fun, the only hard part is the tail which is easy if you have a sewing machine. you can wear any makeup you want and you will be warm, you can wear sweatpants and a hoodie so you'll be really warm, enjoy!

Lat year my daughter(10) was a punk rocker. She took a plaid skirt that she had and I sewed patches on from the craft store, bought a rock t-shirt at walmart for 5 bucks and a pair of fishnet stockings. She wore her converse sneakers, we put her hair in really funky ponytails and sprayed it streaks of colors and I put thick blackeyeliner on her, she also had some cool spikey looking bracelets we picked up at Claires. she looked great and the whole thing cost me like 15 bucks.

A fortune-telling gypsy, with scarves, turban, lots of gaudy costume jewelry, peasant blouse, long colorful skirt and shoes of choce. And, the must-have accessory of a crystal ball!

get a dress that suits you then cut out triangles in the bottom to make it look like it has been torn then get some ribbon and tie it round your waste in a huge bow that makes it look unbelievably fake. next put on some spooky make up!
