I was named after John Wayne's character in "The Quiet Man". My mother was unsure what to name me and saw the show while in the hospital and liked the name.

Oh boy........was I ever.
My Grandfather's name was (get this) Dulice Dessimer. Now he named his son Donald Dean. Everyone called both of them D.D. So by the time I came along........they wanted a third generation D.D. However, I was a girl...........so they named me DeeDee.
(now please do NOT make me tell you what my two D's stand for. lol)
