This is football..a team loses and a team wins
both Argentina and germany deserved to win
but germany were better in penalties so they won
I was both happy for germany and sad for Argentina because they are both one of my favourite teams

They lost because Argentinian players, were over confident thinking they were going to win.
Germany's players are all really good in shooting penalties and Lehmann is an experienced international goalkeaper.
People blame him for the paper he was seen with but... would it have made any difference if he had read it the night before and memorized it?
I don't think so. There's no rule saying you can't read a reference paper + the atittude shown by the Argentinian squad was really desapointing, to say the least, when they started fighting and punching the winning team.
The referee just did his job.

Probably craven substitutions by the previously bold Pekerman, replacing Riquelme with Cambiasso and only bringing on the limited Cruz in attack, where previously he had attacked the Mexicans with Riquelme, Aimar, Messi and Tevez ( I think), and also the fact that the Germans are simply supreme in penalty shoot outs. They always score (can't recall a miss since 1976) and they have had exceptional keepers in Illgner, Kahn and Lehmann, making sensational stops.
Argentina would have made wonderful world champions, but they lacked fortitude at the vital moment.

Well it is simple really....because Germany are just very good at saving penalties.....I also think that Germany might even went into the final if Italy haven scored two very late goal ( Germany would have won in the penalty kick off )...

Because their coach swapped most of the key players for defenders. They also kept the "best player takes penalty last" thing so most of the defenders missed ...Or maybe lehman was just 2 good..hes Germany's hand of god... lol
